Oh, how quickly the lights get put away after the holiday! I tend to resist taking them down until after today.
As my friend Dominic Rivkin posted today on Facebook:
"Today marks the official end of the Christmas season, the Feast of the Epiphany. The Light of the World, our vision of God in His Son Jesus forces every human being into a choice. Do we continue to walk in the darkness of sin toward death or in the Light of love, toward life?"
How often in this world don't we go with the flow? How many times don't we adopt the traditions of the world and simply do what everyone else does? As followers of Jesus we are to shine!
In a very real sense, the lights of Christmas should never be taken down.
